Internship schedule for Erasmus students (15th June – 15th September 2022) – pdf

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science offers also an Erasmus+ Internship for Students in different Laboratories of Faculty. The internship programme give the opportunity to increase student practiced skills, language competences and develop inter-personal skills. The Faculty has well-equipped laboratories and classrooms, a modern University Library, and high-quality teams of researchers, which will help students to improve their professional knowledge.

Foreign exchange students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science can choose one of two options:

• Summer Internship (3 months: June-September)
• Internship during the academic year (since October until May)

Summer Internship

Due to the strategy of internationalization established by Polish Ministry of Higher Education the University of Bielsko-Biala decides to support all Erasmus students by 3 months of internship. Since 1^st February 2022 we only accept students for summer internships for minimum 3 months.

Period: 15^th June till 15^th September – 3 months
Deadline for applications: 30^th April 2022.

The Student should chose two of the four listed modulus (A1 or A2, B1 or B2) which contain the following topics:

– Mechanical Engineering – designing, modelling, analysis,
– Robotics and Mechatronics,
– Measuring, Analysis of materials, Manufacturing processes and Production Engineering,
– Computational methods and Computer Science,
– Cars and Engines.

Those students who prepare an excellent project will receive the special certificate with references signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.

There is also possibility to arrange the internship during the academic year. The Faculty staff cooperates with different local companies and foreign students could be involved in research project.

A student applying for study period at the University of Bielsko-Biala has to add the following documents to the compulsory Forms:

1. copy of ID document / passport
2. copy of visa (if applicable)
3. copy of health insurance
4. Transcript of Records

Application procedure for incoming students – summer Internship

Period: 1^st February 2022 till 30^th April 2022

University of Bielsko-Biała

Academic Exchange Office of the University of Bielsko-Biala (international@ubb.edu.pl) and Departmental Coordinator (Andrzej Urbas, erasmuswbmii@ubb.edu.pl) should receive NOMINATION LETTER (e-mail with list of nominated students) from Relations Office of the student’s home university firstly.

Nomination letter should contain following data:

– student’s full name and surname,
– gender,
– valid e-mail address,

The following documents are required to be admitted to the Departmental Coordinator (Andrzej Urbas, PhD):

• Learning Agreement for Traineeship;
• Transcript of Records;
• If the students are willing to stay in the dormitory during Internship they should provide Dormitory Agreement form (dormitory is available for all Erasmus students since 14^th June 2022 till 17^th September 2022).

Students are required to send by post a complete set of original application documents in ENGLISH (duly signed and stamped) to be accepted. Completed set of original documents should be sent by student’s institution or himself to:

• As receiving institution we consider only set of completed application. In case of any lacks the procedure won’t start.
• Applications should be filled in on computer and printed.

• Until 15^th of May 2022 students will be notified of the decision by getting Letter of Acceptance.

It is highly recommended not to make any kind of travel arrangements before receiving Letter of Acceptance.
